My Teaching Philosphy
Learning the importance of reading a map key, and how to create our own map key!
|
My number one priority as an educator is my students. I will ensure that not only am I teaching them all of the academic content that they need to learn during the year, but I will create a classroom environment makes them feel safe and supported. Their time in my classroom is a critical time in their development. They are continuously growing, developing, and absorbing information. I will guide them through that development and teach them how to apply all the knowledge and information they are learning to their own life. To instill a love for learning in my students, I will allow for as much hands-on learning, collaboration with peers, and choice in learning as possible. By offering voice and choice in learning to my students I will ensure that I am meeting the needs and abilities of each of each child.

My Classroom Management Philosophy
My philosophy of classroom management is based upon Love and
Logic. When students walk through the door to our classroom, I want them to know that they are safe, respected, and trusted. Our classroom environment will be built upon trust, respect, and building relationships with everyone within our classroom. I will be both fair and consistent
with my students. Along with being both fair and consistent, I will allow my students to have a voice and choices within our classroom.
